Boulder gets nearly as much sunshine as Phoenix but without all the heat. You’ll need plenty of protection both for your eyes and for your skin.

2. Prepare to Feast

There’s a reason Boulder has been named America’s Foodiest Town, and it has a lot to do with the vast number of high-level food artisans and an overall commitment to farm-to-table. It’s also home of several innovative food companies such as Justin’s, Izze Beverage Company, Celestial Seasonings, and Bhakti Chai.

Dining out will be a treat with options such as the nationally acclaimed Frasca Food and Wine, the infamous Flagstaff House, and the gorgeous Dushanbe Teahouse.

3. Tap Into the Beer Scene

Don’t like beer? That may soon change! The state of Colorado boasts a whopping 348 craft breweries state-wide making it the state with the second most breweries in the nation after California. Just in Boulder County alone, there are nearly 30.

Sure, other communities have hardware stores, but no other place in the world has McGuckin Hardware. Even if you have no intention of doing anything home related, you will still undoubtedly find yourself wondering the aisles and chatting with a green-vested helper.  From Venus Flytrap’s to donut socks, you can find everything at McGuckin Hardware. They are Boulder’s favorite everything store, after all!

5. Get Ready to Be Active

Yes, the food, beer, and awesome stores are alluring, but the real reason Boulder County is so attractive is due to the sheer amount of amazing activities one can do. With easy access to world-class ski mountains like Vail, Breckenridge, and Winter Park, and a thriving community of adventure seekers, you’re sure to find an activity you’re going to love.

Consider ninja training at Ninja Nation in Lafayette, stand up paddleboarding at Boulder Reservoir, hiking up to the Royal Arch and SO MUCH MORE. Seriously, if you can think it up, it probably available here in Boulder County, Colorado.
